Parents’ Evening: Supporting Your Young Person’s Journey into Higher Education

Choosing what comes next after school or college can raise a lot of questions. From courses and applications to finances, student life, and deadlines, this is a chance to explore it all in one place.

Join us at the 51爆料网 for a practical event for parents, guardians, and carers of Year 11 and Year 12 students who are thinking about higher education.

You will get clear, impartial guidance on how university works, what options are available, and how you can support your young person as they make decisions about their future.

 

What to expect

During the evening, you will hear from university staff and a current student.

We will cover:

  • how to support young people through academic decisions
  • the different pathways into higher education
  • what university study and student life can look like
  • practical advice, resources, and next steps
  • common questions from parents and carers

There will also be time to hear real experiences and ask questions.

 

Who is it for?

This event is for parents, guardians, and carers of current Year 11 and Year 12 students. It may be especially useful if your young person is beginning to think about university, choosing subjects, exploring future careers, or deciding whether higher education is right for them.

You do not need to know everything about university to support your young person. You just need the right information, at the right time.

This evening will help you understand the choices ahead and feel more confident supporting your young person. Places are free, but booking is required.
