Course Overview

This course has been designed for professionals involved in providing environmental advice to farms and the farmed environment, along with farmers and land managers across the UK. Successful completion provides the required qualification to entry for joining the BASIS Environmental Advisers Register. The course also forms one of the required qualifications for achieving the BASIS Diploma in Agronomy.

How You 51±¬ÁÏÍø

The course is delivered over five days using participatory lectures, group exercises, and field practicals. Four days will be delivered from our Riseholme Campus, LN2 2LG, alongside two half-day online sessions.

How you are assessed

The course is assessed by means of a written exam and viva examination. These are completed online.

Dates for 2026

Course Dates

  • 3 December - half day online (morning)
  • 7, 8, 9, 10 December – in person delivery
  • 14 December – online mock vivas (afternoon)* 

Exam Dates

  • 17 December (online written paper)
  • 18 December (online viva)

*online mock vivas consist of 2 x 15 minute mock vivas on MS Teams throughout the afternoon.

£1,509 (includes tuition plus exam fee)
